Gordon Keddie

Gordon J. Keddie (1944–2023) was the author of dozens of commentaries on Bible books and themes. He also composed numerous articles, both popular and academic. Born in Edinburgh, Scotland near the close of World War II, he received his early education at George Heriot’s School and later studied biology at the Universities of Aberdeen and Edinburgh. He then prepared to enter the ministry by attending Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia and the Reformed Presbyterian Theological Seminary in Pittsburgh.

Over more than forty years he pastored four Reformed Presbyterian churches: North Hills (western Pennsylvania), Wishaw (Scotland), State College (central Pennsylvania), and Southside Indianapolis (Indiana). He retired from active ministry in 2014. He and his wife, Jane, have three adult sons and three beloved grandchildren.

Good daily devotionals are surely among the most useful books a Christian can own...This is a book that will make an excellent aid to personal or family worship.

Starting your prayers can be like starting a cold diesel engine. Gordon Keddie's brief devotions are like glowplugs for the soul—just what we need to ignite heart-warming prayer and propel our spiritual lives through the day.
